Madhuwantha Aatigala

 I joined to western band of D.S.Senanayake College Mirigama, when I was in grade 10 but, it was a random incident.  It was a Science period but teacher hadn't come to the classroom. I forgot to do homeworks. Then I wanted to escape from class. Suddenly Science teacher came to the class, I had nothing to do at that time.  Aleatory, a member of western band came to our class at that time, and he asked who would like to join to western band. Then I represented like a shot. However I stayed in the band since I leave the college after my O/l.

 There was a rumor about the end of the world at 2012. I was in grade 8 at that period. Many movies, stories and documentaries were spanned like 2012, the day after tomorrow and San Andreas. I was interested about that and I wanted to search and read about that stories. I was founded few details about Maya Civilization. There was a story about a Calendar of Mayans. However I understood that rumor is a rumor, not a real story.

 I had a real friend named Anjalith Dilshan and we were learning in grade seven. He was a clever boy, and he was interested in astrology and U.F.O. I also was interested at those subjects. We used to read books about U.F.O and astrology. We had a good knowledge about those subject at that time but I can't even remember what are the details of those subjects now. However It was a good time. We collected magazines, newspapers and further details. 

 I played guitar in many occasions of the school. When I was grade 11, there was a Art day in the school. We gathered to it in the music room but we had no idea about our performance. I was thinking about a baila medley at that moment. I said my idea. Everyone was okay with it. I had to select songs and compose music. We did many practice sessions before the concert. Finally we played it on the stage, the audience enjoyed it lot. We got a lot of good comments.

 I have played football when I was in D.S.Senanayake college, Mirigama. One day there was a inter school match. We had to play with one of our neighbor school. Our friends were cheering to us. Our neighbor school was playing cleverly. They got two goals against us at the first. Then we decided to change the methods we was playing . It was succeeded, we would be able to get three goals against them. 

 I remember, very first school trip of my life was very beautiful memory. At that day, I went to the school early in the morning. There was many buses had come to school. We started to go at about 6 a.m. firstly we went to  Orphanage Pinnawala. We saw many orphan elephants, after that we went to worship Sacred Temple Tooth. Finally we went to Peradeniya Botanical Garden. We enjoyed that trip very much.

 After passing grade 5 examination, I could go to a Central College. First days of new school was some kind of peculiar. There was a pretty competitive of the students. But I had not feel that kind of feeling. There was a different between new school and my old school. I couldn't get high marks from examinations I was in grade 6. I had to go many extra classes after the school. I had no time to enjoy. Those time was little bit strange to me.
